A recap of last night's Toronto/Winnipeg game.

The Toronto Maple Leafs got a huge road win in Winnipeg last night, defeating the Jets 3-1.

"It's a huge road win for us," said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conferennce.

Auston Matthews opened the scoring for the Leafs at 4:40 of the first period.

Zach Hyman made it a 2-0 game at 10:47.

At 16:40 of the second period, Alex Kerfoot scored a short handed goal on a double minor.

"(It was), a huge goal for us," said Keefe.

Josh Morrissey made it 3-1game , scoring on the double minor power play at 17:15.

There was no scoring in the third period.

Toronto's Mitch Marner had two assists last night.

Toronto plays the Jets again tomorrow night.
