This is no Lazarus As Lazarus was,
Shuffling out of the damp cave
Enveloped by sweltering heat,
Squinting slit-eyed through burial cloths
Into blinding sunlight, discombobulated
By an unexpected awakening, disorientated
by hearing His premature name call
Only to be welcomed back later , a second time,
Into death's cold hungry embrace.
Rather, it is the prelude
To the imperishsble eternal order
Where the old order is reversed
Where death
Is swallowed up
By Life
And to die
Is gain,
It is said.
