A recap of last night's New York Yankees/Toronto Game One.

Despite a good performance by pitcher, Robbie Ray on the mound, the Toronto Blue Jays lost to the New York Yankees last night 3-1.

Toronto opened the scoring in the bottom of the first inning when Bo Bichette scored on a routine ground out.

At the top of the fifth inning, though, Kyle Higashioka hit a two run homer to put the Yankees ahead 2-1.

At the top of the eighth inning, Higashioka hit a solo home run.

Higashioka went two for three at the plate and had three RBIs in last night's game.

Yankee's starting pitcher, Gerrit Cole was stellar on the mound last night.

Cole went six innings,allowing just three hits, an earned run, a walk, and struck out eight batters.

Ray went five innings, allowing just three hits, two earned runs, three walks, and struck out three batters.

Game Two is tonight in Dunedin, Florida.
