I'm taking an online short story course and the school snuck a module on poetry into the class. I don't like poems; I don't understand poems. So, I thought I'd have some fun trying to write one.

Take your time

Don’t force a rhyme.

Just write your poem

Then, then, uh, then, um

Writing poems could be

Called a curse.

Writing poems

Is the worse.

Oh my shit

I forced a rhyme.

Kiss my ass

It ain’t no crime.

I shoulda used worst

But then I needed cursed

Kiss my ass

This poem’s my first.

Now my scheme’s a mess

And I must confess

I hate writing poems

Cuz, cuz, uh, cuz, um

Too much time I spent

This is the ent.

I do not enjoy writing poems either, so I feel your pain. I did though have a good laugh at your poem. It really captured that pain of having to do something you don't want to do. It was a good bit of fun to read.

Although I've written some since that one, I don't worry about structure or anything else about poems. I simply put my thoughts on paper and publish. Poems are still my least favorite genre to write, but the quickest, so I continue with them occasionally.
