this short poem was inspired by a book I am currently reading called " Fear: Understanding and accepting" by Osho, and it was really inspiring to find such a hidden gem. It really opened my eyes to many of my thoughts and beliefs and it definitely inspired me to write this :)

Any type of fear is a reflection of the main fear

The main fear is the fear of death

So listen close and lend me your ear

Know that this is not a passing myth

The fear of death doesn't mean the fear of dying

It is the fear of not living

It is the fear of not living to the full potential

So know this and stop living in denial

There is a saying that goes " eyes scared but hands are working"

That's exactly what you should be doing

With steady steps and fear in your heart

Try to have faith and make a new start

As fear is not something we should face

But rather, it is something that we should embrace

olive tree

i liked your piece

but you shouldn't fear death. take it from Epicurus:

“Death is nothing to us. When we exist, death is not; and when death exists, we are not. All sensation and consciousness ends with death and therefore in death there is neither pleasure nor pain. The fear of death arises from the belief that in death, there is awareness.”

Reading this book really did help and this quote of Epicurus was mentioned in it as well. My fear wasn't from death but my fear was from failure and from making necessary changes in my own life because I am afraid of the unknown and what might happen next and overthinking it a lot in my head that I don't get any sleep. Thank you for your comment, Much appreciated :)
