Salvador Perez was yesterday's hero.
The Kansas City Royals won 2-0 in a real pitcher's duel against the Toronto Blue Jays, winning the four-game series.
There was no scoring until the bottom of the seventh inning when Salvador Perez hit a two run homer.
Perez went 1 for five at the plate and had two RBIs.
Royal's starting pitcher, Brady Singer went six innings, allowing two hits, no earned runs, three walks, and struck out six batters.
Jay's starting pitcher, Robbie Ray got out of two bases loaded jams yesterday.
Ray went five innings, allowing four hits, no earned runs, six walks, and struck out three batters.
Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo, said at yesterday's postgame press conference that he is happy where his team is at, despite losing the series to K.C.
Toronto has a day off today before going to Boston to play the Red Sox tomorrow night.
