The Castle

There is a castle in my soul.

It used to be gracious and beautiful.

It had flowing fountains,

and grand gardens.

This castle reflects all I am.

The halls were filled with magnificent treasures.

Music always played.

The library was filled with optimistic thoughts.

Now my castle is in ruins.

The walls barely stand.

The fountain had run dry,

and the gardens are filled with death

The castle is broken and cracked.

The music is somber.

The treasures have been stolen.

The library only contains tragedies.

The castle reflects my soul

My soul is in ruins
