A Dorothy tale.

She ran.

From the unhappy place built upon black and white decision. It was a there, somewhere reality that could batter and bruise an open heart.

Her mind was filled with dreaming, random thoughts of full spectrum spaces wonderous which kept her looking upward to a heaven she believed in. She loved them so, wanting them to remain, but they were with her for the briefest of moments. Now they were memories which in time she knew would fade, just as the rainbow fate when the sun burns the clouds away.

As she fled from all she knew of then and went along the road, she understood with every step, that no matter where you go, deep inside ones heart you take with you your home.

In her constant yearning for a realm where rainbows never end, she met an empty open and was taken by the wind. A force beyond the telling gripped her, pulling her as will into a space where hidden desires are woven of every hue and color into nothing of ordinary or tame.

The path she met was winding, paved with yellow brick, the way of it reminding that true gold is found within the journey, wisdom as riches to be kept. There were endless fields filled with flowers that would burst into song, and flying there among them, the bees would hum along. And orchards she would come upon held trees with trying attitudes and opinion, and not at all shy about it, they'd give voice to them and often.

Flawed friends would bring her to reflection on the seeking of some heavenly destination, and of what all the twists and turns in life might lead to. And with it she grew in what was over and done in truth.

Staying for a year that was a day, she decided to return to the black and white existence, now a very different person. She brought with her a brillance carried inside her newly made spectrum mind. She would begin again in the place of where she started and now knew she did belong.

And her eyes so free and open saw only the colors of a reality transformed.
