Rock-A-By

Heated by the sunshine,

cooled when skies are grey;

lashed when it is windy,

soaked by salty spray.

I stand here quite immobile,

staring out to sea;

victim of slow erosion

is a coastal rock like me.

Nice. Perceptive poetic take on simple enduring strength. Could be you, when at your most stubborn long moments... Thanks for sharing!

Thanks so much for reading, Steven. I've got to admit I quite enjoy writing from the pov of something everyday and inanimate.
