For centuries, humanity across the world knew of dragons only through myths, legends, and folklore. As men continued to wage war on each other with increasingly sophisticated technology and scale, a new discovery would change Earth forever: DRAGONS EXIST.

Years before the age of the Internet and all it brought forth, dragons were discovered hiding in remote regions of the planet. Within years, the dragons were forced into the open, with humanity eager to extract everything they can from them for their cruel and relentless drive for dominion.

Charles Graham, heir to the largest logistics firm in the Federative Republic of Henrico, struggles to find meaning while living in a country mired in corruption, destitution, and political strife. Trapped in his prison of wealth and privilege, Charles is confronted with the reality that the dragons are not the mindless animals that society makes them out to be and life then pushes him to make a choice. Should he put aside his moral compass and fulfill his obligations as a dutiful son? Or should he risk it all for the sake of his inner peace and change the world in the process?

Prologue: Hunted

Author's note: The prologue will be taking place from the dragon's point of view, so they only understand each other. The setting is a forest in Latin America, so the humans here will be speaking
in Spanish. I'm not a native speaker of the Spanish language, so if there's anything wrong there, please let me know. (Feel free to have the Spanish dialogue translated on Google though!) Don't
expect foreign language to be a thing for the rest of the story. The use of languages other than English will depend on the context (and whether it's appropriate), but the main setting has both
English and Spanish as its primary languages due to its history, so my writing will mostly be in English. Readers shouldn't have a problem in future chapters. Besides, it's also quite exhausting to
get proper translation as I'm not a native speaker.

Sales Pitch

Story will be following the main character from here. I plan on swapping back to Chanteirwen a few times later on, but ANL will be told through the eyes of Charles Graham.

Reminder: the story is set in a developing country during the 1980s ~ 1990s. Although it is fictional, a lot of this is based on what I've personally observed/experienced/heard. Expect things to be
dark and for language to be offensive.

Subdued

One last note regarding the language. Because Charles Graham is a native to Henrico, he is fluent in both English and Spanish. Whenever there is dialogue, you can consider it as being spoken in
either one unless it's been specifically pointed out. Any foreign words that still go through are either words he cannot understand and/or Spanish words/phrases/idioms that don't really translate
into English (or sound better in Spanish).

Something went wonky with the formatting when I uploaded this. -_- I'll have to figure out how to fix this first.
