I was born in the moonlight

Something about it’s bluish glow soothes me. It’s vibrant life and frenzied existence shines bright in the day light. It makes me smile to know it all exists for its own purpose. It’s the midnight here, however, that I live for. When the velvet soft petals close and the vernal leaves all a cerulean shade shimmer. When the moonlight is bright white and the air is so thick with mist the water droplets form and nourish without the benefit of rain. Time slows for the world of the living and if your clever and careful enough you can catch the fireflies and hold them like lightening and feel the soft grass tuft underfoot like clouds. The magic of it eases the despair, and balms the soul, soaking the empty heart with its cool embrace. The water at my fingertips is fresh and frigid, satisfying in this garden full of beauty and splendor even for a weed like me.
