Last Rites

I was at the bedside of my father while he lay dying. He was in a coma state and the doctors told me he is sinking. I badly wanted his soul to go to heaven so I started chanting the Lord’s Prayer. I did all I could do. I felt sad when he became lifeless.

Jakarta Memoir

This happened to me while I was in Jakarta. A female colleague of mine wanted to sell her computer to me and I did buy it from her. One day she invited me to her flat for dinner. Her husband left as soon as I arrived. To my surprise, she took me to the bedroom and she held her hand in mine and started stroking me while doing sweet talk. I like a fool did not take the cue. I should have realized that she wanted me to do poetry on the bed. All her charming gestures did not feed into my brain and I left her flat like an idiot. Yes, I missed a good fuck.
