?The Colour Catchers. Behind every rainbow you see is a team of little people collecting colours all over the world. They take reds from a juicy apple, orange from the blazing sun, yellows from a field of daffodils, greens from a blade of grass, blues from the ocean, purples from ripe plums. Hank was desperate to be a colour catcher, his whole family was colour catchers and his grandad was a champion colour catcher. On his first day he was the first at the colour catcher academy to learn how to catch the colours and pour them into the giant rainbow machine. A machine so special and big to create rainbows all over the world. Hank learnt how to sneak up and swish the pink of a happy cheek to swipe the blue of a newborns eyes and then how to carefully enter them into the machine and exactly what buttons to press to shoot a rainbow across the sky taking care to keep the colours in exactly the right order! Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet. On his first day Hank proudly put on his uniform and his special shoes that help him sneak about unnoticed, in his excitement Hank forgot to tie his laces. In his rush to get to the machine first Hank ran but tripped ver the lace landing on the buttons of the machine! Disaster!! The machine started to smoke and bang and an alarm started to ring. Hank had broken it he had deleted the colour red from every rainbow it had completely disappeared from the world! No big deal you might think what’s one little colour but red was very important and without it the world was in chaos!! No red traffic lights! People were crashing into each other all over the place. No red letter box people wasn’t getting their mail, no birthday cards or important letters!! No love! No red roses or valentines! People were angry and sad and mad at Hank he had to fix it. First he tied his laces nice and tight and off he went in search of any red he could find to fix the machine. He searched every corner of the globe from Africa to Antarctica but couldn’t find any!! Then he heard a baby cry and he went to look he saw a mother scoop her up and the love was so strong between them it didn’t need roses or valentines it was just love the red glowed from them both. Hank scooped all the red he could carry and this red was so powerful it fixed the machine and was enough for all the rainbows in the world!! Hank had saved the day with love ??
