A poem on if I could start again..

If I could start again,

long ago, far away,

before any hearts were broken,

before the bodies of friends were forced to lay,

when I still had it all,

when I didn't live far from friendship and love,

when I still sat with them and watched red leaves fall,

when I still didn't depart from the ones I belove.

I wish I can start new,

I wish I can say the things I never got to say,

I wish I can visit places I never got to go to,

I wish I can learn to love again and this time stay all day.

Now I live in abanonded temples and towers,

empty with broken idols and gods, no longer to love or worship,

where there are no trees or flowers,

where, from the wine of sadness, is all I sip.

To go to a golden field,

to go far, far away,

to finally surrender my guilt and errors, to yield,

to again find my way.
