A recap of last night's Washington/Toronto Game One.

Vladmir Guerrero Jr. has big night in Dunedin.

It was a really good night for Toronto Blue Jay's Vladmir Guerrero Jr. last night.

Guerrero Jr, hit three home runs, including, a grand slam in a 9-5 Jay's win over the Washington Nationals.

The National's struck first, though.

Trea Turner hit a solo home run at the top of the first inning.

Turner hit another solo home run at the top of the third inning to put Washington ahead 2-0.

Then, later in the inning, Yadiel Hernandez hit a solo home run.

In the bottom of the third, Guerrero Jr. quickly put Toronto ahead 4-3 with a grand slam.

The Jays went ahead 5-3 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Joe Panik scored on an error.

Later in the inning, Alejandro Kirk scored on a sacrifice fly by Cavan Biggio.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Guerrero Jr. hit a solo home run.

The Nationals got back into the game at the top of the seventh inning when Ryan Zimmerman hit a two run homer.

In the bottom of the seventh, up 7-5, Gerrero Jr. hit a two run homer.

At last night's postgame press conference, Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo said it is fun to watch Vladdy hit, especially in batting practice.

Guerrero Jr. went three for four at the plate and had seven RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Trent Thornton went 2.1 innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs, no walks, and struck out two batters.

Turner went two for four at the plate and had two RBIs.

National's starting pitcher, Max Scherzer went five innings, allowing eight hits, five earned runs, two walks, and struck out five batters.

Game Two is tonight.
