Whoa there sunlight, enough with the glare

You come to early for those who haven't gone to bed

Up all night with friends and drink

Talking about the meaning of life and other deep thoughts

That will be forgotten by those who spout forgettable verbage

Home at 3 AM

As my brain is stewed in booze

To write my novel that Hemingway couldn't write on his best day

My play the Neil Simon would envy

A poem that Robert Frost couldn't imagine

Ah...shit, the morning is here with all its glorious flash

Sun rising with its warming glow

Cotton clouds in a blue sky

Birds chirping in the trees

"Shut up you bastards! I gotta get some sleep!

I have to go to my soul crushing

dead end job in three hours!"
