Life presents hurdles, we must learn how to jump over them.

#1 - Ongoing Challenges

Life as we once knew it, is now very different. The outbreak of Covid-19 has forced us to put a pause to our normal lives and protect ourselves from the virus. Over the last year or so, we’ve all encountered various challenges. Whether that be challenges to find work, challenges to adjust to a new way of working, relationship struggles, losing a loved one, challenges to feed your family or mental health challenges.

Aside of Covid, life is full of ongoing challenges. Circumstances change and as you grow and develop, you begin to encounter new stages in life which can present difficult moments.

In my new series: “Life’s hurdles”, I’ll be looking at different aspects of life which can provide persistent challenges, and how we can possibly not only tackle those difficulties, but overcome them.

One thing I usually try to encourage others to do is to think positively. Now, that’s very easy for me to say, however, the person going through the difficulty may not find that easy to do. One way to look at it is: nothing is permanent. If you’re going through a difficult time, it won’t be forever. On the flip side, if you’re enjoying life, that’s great, but remember to appreciate and be grateful for all that you have; as the pandemic taught us – you never know until it’s gone.

In life, no matter how fortunate you are, or how less-fortunate you are, there are always going to be hurdles. How we decide to ‘jump over’ them, is down to us.

When you first start a new job and you’re presented with new roles and responsibilities. It can be daunting. But with the right environment and help around you, along with time, you’ll see yourself grow and develop in your position. Making mistakes is part of the journey in life. You won’t have all the knowledge and ‘know-how’ from the moment you’re born. You approach each stage of life with a question mark and learn from each stage.

Once you’ve (hopefully) overcome those hurdles,  you can then help someone else with each stage and learning how to jump.
