Evidence

Their eyes make it clear;

I’m accused,

found guilty.

I need a chance

to make my defense

for the proof of my innocence

is plain to see

if they’d just look down.

The footprint,

blood-soaked and far too big,

is all I need

but it only seems to appear to me.
