One Night in July

Verse:
Summertime, its long days
And its short nights
Kids down in the sand
As cardinals take to the sky
It was a cool July night
When life was a bore
Wild child spread your wings
Nothing will be as it was before

Chorus:
One Night in July
Fireworks will fly
Explode into the sky
To break the spirit
That lives inside
One Night in July
It moves so fast
When you walk a troubled track
Innocence wasn't meant to last

Verse:
One of these mornings
You're gonna rise up with regret
One night for the first time
He smelled like a cigarette
She's a bloomed flower
Broken at the stem
Nothing is or as it was before
She'll never be the same again

Chorus:
