A THING TO MEND
Not a thing, but something
did break; and
did wreak.
Not in the condition of repair,
I'd fell in despair
I gathered my heart; to have
a new start.
I started to mend, for which
I'd to tend (myself).
A few days'n shade; it begun
to fade (hope).
Ere I'd fears, was in vale of tears.
Ti's o'curr again and a'gain; thy
eyes led to rain.
Later, much struggle; t'was
seeming fine,
s'till something ten or nine.
The thing was hid,
Whence mending to be did;
couldn't bear ti's mindings;
thither to,
loosen all ti's bindings.
Ought to, not lose;
as,
ti's too close.
Standstill to bind; still
a hope,
totally blind.
