That day, a special bond formed between us and now Camilla doesn’t dare bother us. And that day, the shy little girl came out of her cover and now is my best friend Zoey!

I woke up at 7 in the morning to see the warm sun welcome me.I quickly got dressed in my new crisp uniform and brushed my teeth with my minty toothpaste.I climbed down the old stairs, two at a time, and sat down on the coffee table, guzzling down my cornflakes. “My, My! You seem in a hurry today, for your first day of school!” a voice came. It was my mom’s.I gulped and said, “Yeah! I have been waiting for this ever since you told me!’’I grabbed my bag and jacket and was going out when my mom said, “Have a nice day, Avery! I went out of the door and climbed on the typical American yellow bus waiting at the stop. The reason I am going to school this late and at this age is because I am naturally home-schooled but my parents decided that to get on the same page,I should start afresh at a new school.

I grabbed seat at the middle of the bus and sat down. The bus smelt of a mixture of mac and cheese and sweat.I ignored it.The seats, however were really comfy and plump. The bus halted to a stop, almost pushing me over. It was my stop.I got off the bus when a cold breeze hit me.It was really a cold and breezy day.I kept walking and entered the school. It was nicely decorated with colorful lockers and walls with patterns on them.I walked into the administration office and asked the woman there where I should go. She wore a beautiful white dress with black jeans. She smiled at me and said, “Welcome to the school, Avery. Your homeroom is class 6E!”I then walked down through the corridors and found my homeroom.I was about to enter when three girls blocked the door in a protective manner. They glared at me.I said, “Please let me in! I have to go!” The middle girl, who was wearing a designer jacket with pink jeans and was clutching a turquoise phone, said, “Are you new here?!Dont you know that, I, Camilla can do whatever I want?!”I shrugged and decided to stay outside until our class as I knew her type. They are the ones that are so stubborn and never stop arguing.

Our teacher, who is Miss Carol, is really warm-hearted and kind. She acted as if I had been a pupil of this school from the start. She is a young lady with blonde hair and she wore a floral dress which was really gorgeous. All the way through class, Camilla stared at me in such a way that if looks could kill, I’d be a ghost by now. After class, Camilla and her friends, or goons as I call them, cornered me.I asked, slightly trembling, “What do you want!?”My voice cracked but I didn’t care. Camilla was about to answer when a stern voice came from the back. “Camilla, you arent bullying the Avery are you?!”It was Miss Carol. There was a timid and small girl behind her. Apparently she had also been bullied by her and was trying to make sure that no one else had to go under the same thing all over again. She was a little girl with ginger hair and few freckles.

That day, a special bond formed between us and now Camilla doesn’t dare bother us. And that day, the shy little girl came out of her cover and now is my best friend Zoey!
