A recap of last night's Toronto/Houston Game One.

The Houston Astros hammered the Toronto Blue Jays last night 10-4.

The Jays went ahead 1-0 at the top of the first inning with a solo home run by Bo Bichette.

The Astros went ahead 2-1 in the bottom of the second inning when Carlos Correa hit a two run homer.

Down 3-1 at the top of the third inning, Danny Jansen hit a solo home run.

In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Astros went ahead 5-2 with a two run homer by Yuli Guirriel.

Gurriel then drove in Alex Bregman in the bottom of the seventh inning with a single.

Later in the inning, Kyle Tucker drove in Yordan Alvarez with a double.

The Astros scored three more runs in the bottom of the eighth inning.

First, Bregman drove in Jose Altuve with a double.

Michael Brantley scored on a routine groundout.

Then, Bregman scored on a sacrifice fly by Gurriel.

Gurriel went four for four at tge plate and had four RBIs.

Yuli Gurriel has a four for four night.

At the top of the ninth inning, Teoscar Hernandez hit a two run homer.

Houston's starting pitcher, Jose Urquidy went seven innings, allowing four hits, two earned runs, a walk, and struck out two batters.

Hernandez had two RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Ross Stripling went just 3.2 inngs, allowing six hits, three earned runs, three walks, and struck out three batters.

Despite Strpling's recent struggles on the mound, Jay's manager, Charlie Montoyo still has faith in him.

"We still believe in him, (Stripling)," said Montoyo at last night's postgame press conference.

Game Two is tonight.
