Cloudy

They scud across the sky,

clouds,

heavy with the promise of rain

if they only stayed still.

Instead they keep rolling

like the thoughts in my head,

difficult to get a grip on.

For a moment

the wind drops

and there’s a deluge -

only momentary but enough to leave me

drenched.

And in that moment,

I reach inside my mind,

grasp an idea

and type,

before the clouds begin to roll again.

It's hot hear lately. If we had fog I think it would be steaming us. Thanks so much for reading, Moa.
