A recap of last night's Toronto/Montreal game.

The Toronto Maple Leafs clinched the North Division title last night, defeating the Montreal Canadiens 3-2.

At last night's postgame press conference, Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe, credited good goaltending and defence for this year's success.

Brett Kulak opened the scoring for Montreal at 3:34 of the first period.

Nick Suzuki put the Canadiens up 2-0 just 31 seconds into the second period.

Pierre Engvall scored at 5:02.

William Nylander tied the game at 13:36.

Mitch Marner put Toronto ahead at 16:33.

There was no scoring in the third period, but shots on goal were 12-6 for Toronto.

Toronto hosts the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night.
