Everybody knows the worst effects of Corona, but nobody followed appropriate safety measures. In a way, we have been negligent all through Pandemic times. People scot-freely loitered around with asymptomatic COVID-19. Now, we had it coming as a pan-Indian mortal tragedy. We misused the values of Democracy. The Data published by Scientist clearly states that Virus, Pandemics, and future Immunity challenges are 21st-century encounters. These issues are particularly sourced as they are hugely instrumental in terms of lives lost and causing economic adversity national wide. This is happening because of the Politicians in power, the Public, and the Healthcare Industry idiocies.

All Politicians are dubious. Politicians talk of History in the context of walk the talk interviews. In the process, they refer to His-story which is mostly the story of self. It is not over there, they take interviewers to a nice walk-in corridor showing a gallery of their ancestors' pictures. It is a politician's cult exploiting people's ignorance.

If we break down democracy; it goes into 4 simple elements. 1. Do citizens of a nation know the Values of Democracy? 2. Location of country.  3. Caring for Democracy. 4. Heightened respect for Nation, Judiciary and Legislature system, Army, National Flag and Country's Constitution.

I would like to quote a reminiscence of narration from a book I read a long time back.  Benjamin Franklin was asked by a reporter "What kind of a government have you given us?" This question was asked after a session of the Constitutional Convention, Benjamin Franklin replied, "A democracy, if you can keep it. Our republic is founded on the principle that it will continue only as long as the people keep democracy alive."

Frankly speaking, Benjamin Franklin’s words and the statement does not suit to Indian democracy and Indians.

I reckon that Democracy is a double-edged sword made with a pure metal of raw ore produced from the hottest furnace. The value of democracy prevails only when we understand Benjamin Franklin in between lines and in a better way. Then only, we can raise the flag so high that everyone proudly sees it, and respect it.

How can India be in the future better ready?

"Returning to the original locus after Pandemic" is common, that is "back to normalcy". Now, after all this disaster occurred, "back to normalcy" is not enough as it also means a return to vulnerability once again. "Coming back to normalcy" is only a temporary process re-creating a scaffold similar to that of pre-disaster structure, which is likely to collapse once again to repeatable calamities. So, we must transform and emerge as the strongest India like Japan, Germany, the USA, France, and the UK.

Indian Politicians, some politically polarized Public, and the Healthcare ‘bureaucratic Babus” barked “India had conquered Coronavirus because of Present Government’s Policies.”

But remember dogs with the loudest bark are the ones that are most afraid. Also remember, from the words of Benjamin Franklin, the true Democracy is the thunderbolt elicited from the darkest storm sacrifices made by millions of unknown people and those unsung peoples’ stories must be told and retold through generations. Only then do we know the value of democracy.

Our curriculum has folly and foolishness. We are teaching students, how we were invaded by Muslims from Afghanistan and British Empire, How we were looted by them correspondingly, and how we were ruled and enslaved by them for hundreds of Years. This dossier of History disturbs the students’ mindset and loses respect for India and Indian Democracy.

Indian Politicians have the loudest voice before the media that does not make a meaningful difference except self-boosting in a sycophantic volume. Stop making the loudest voices. When the sound is quieter, the public can hear and think about what can make a world of difference to build a strong and constructive India to prepare for future pandemics.
