Looking back on life with a little hindsight.

If I could forgive and forget

all the bad things done and said. the darkness that pervades my soul wrapped around me like a coat -

I could take it off and hang it up.

Then the mind would cease to punish, with thoughts of old.

No tear stained hand seeking comfort in a bottle of alcohol -

my day would still have life.

I look back to innocent times

reviewing me in a happier life.

Ignorant of what the future had waiting for me, I could of changed

I could of been somebody.
