"Coral, are you sure this is where we'll find Lane Lykensen's diary or map or whatever she put in here?" Dakota Miller, the thirteen year old girl said to her over-curious sister. She is so curious that it gets her in trouble. "Dakota, of course, if we don't find it here, we have to go to her lab, after all we do live in Lane Lykensen's house. So, stop being such a scaredy-cat and hurry up and help me!" Coral said eagerly to her sister. They lived in Lane Lykensen's house. But they rebuilt the edges so it doesn't look like a witch's house and they took all the vines and the gargoyles and cleaned out the garden. It took a few weeks, but at the end, people just thought it was a normal house. And since it was the famous wolf scientist's house, Coral figured that checking in the attic would be the perfect spot, at least their parents didn't clean out there. They heard of the amazing Hoket while they were reading a book about the top 10 best scientists, and found Lane in there. Once they heard about it, they knew they had to check it out. So now as they pushed through cobwebs and books, they were looking for a diary or map or something that relates to the scientist. "I found it!" Coral hollered 10 minutes later. Coral brung it to the middle of the attic. She slowly, but cautiously opened it. In there, there was one book. Coral took it out, and brushed off the dust from the book. In big bold letters, it said LANE LYKENSEN. As soon as Dakota took it and was about to open it. They heard keys opening their front door. They both looked at each other and mouthed, "Dad's home." They quickly closed the book and Coral put it under her arm, while Dakota went down followed by Coral, they closed the attic and went to their room. They put it in their adventure bag. They always had one incase of hiking or walking. It has everything. Water, granola bars, sunscreen, Cetaphil, wet wipes, pads (in case of the period), etc. They shoved the book in and left downstairs. They'll check on it at nighttime when their parents are asleep. As of now, they left downstairs to greet their dad.
