Your joy is only moment’s exhalation,
at most a blink of an eye is your dejection.
As sweetly falls your silent sleep’s protection
you sink into the soft earth’s breast, like wheat’s oblation.

Like Beauty, whose completed germination
was hindered by unfinished life’s perfection,
I wonder in your dying do you see a resurrection
a thousand fold its great reanimation.

For when you’re in your grave, will you surrender
to probing roots of lilac and of lime tree,
to buds the sap is drawn above the clover

Aflame to burst in summer’s honeyed finery
of blossomed trees, and so your radiant dreaming
with sweet fulfilment find in springtime’s teeming.

Nice, but you should have published it as a poem, not a short story.

I have some short stories in the collection as well poems I'm not bothered by the semantics once the reader enjoys my words that hopefully conjures an emotion I'm happy with that thank you kindly for your gesture observation on my category error.
