A recap of last night's Toronto/Winnipeg.

The Toronto Maple Leafs finished the regular season last night with a 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

Pierre Engvall scored at 7:15 of the first period to put the Leafs up 1-0.

Just 1:13 into the second period, Mason Appleton tied the game.

Ilya Mikheyev put the Leafs ahead 2-1 at 5:25.

Kyle Connor tied the game at 13:52.

Connor put the Jets up 3-2, scoring at 4:21 of the third period.

Jansen Harkins sealed the deal for Winnipeg with an empty netter at 19:08.

Jet's Mark Scheifele and Blake Wheeler had two assists last night.

Jet's goalie, Connor Hellebuyck stopped 34 shots last night.

Toronto starts their postseason against the Montreal Canadiens next Thursday.

Now the playoffs. Toronto vs. Montreal. Think old time hockey will be played here. Tight defense, trying to find openings for scoring. And some gloves dropped. "You wanna go!?" I'm a Rangers fan, but I'm gonna focus on this series.

I watched the first game of the Boston/Washington series last night.

That series looks as if there is going to be old time hockey.

It is going to be a battle.
