SPRING

Spring – Week 8

Just when I thought the breath of new life was ready to fully awaken Spring, I look out my single window to a beautiful, cleansing snow storm.  I certainly enjoy the purity and silence that accompanies snow, but I am just as equally looking forward to the abundancy of Spring showers.  Living in the moment certainly has its own pros and cons.

The snow is beautiful, but the cold is oppressive.  As such, I haven’t had much time to walk around outside, but at least I can still admire the families of rabbits that still visit my lonely window.  The simple lives of only doing what nature expects of you, are essentially a Catch-22:  Contentment is easy when you don’t expect more of yourself but I believe it is ten times more rewarding to pursue your own dreams and goals, that sense of fulfillment.

I finally finished Strange Candy by Laurell K. Hamilton and really enjoyed the different genres of stories.  I hope to read more of this author’s work soon.  I also had a chance to finish a visual record titled Murder on the Orient Express, which was an incredible experience and hope to get to know this world and its detective more very soon…The next Manga I read was the first omnibus of One Piece by Eiichiro Oda and immediately was hooked on the quirky life and escapades of Monkey D. Luffy and his friends.  I cannot wait for the next volume!

You, however, must wait for my next journal.  Talk soon.
