Night-it is sure to come soon-

sleep-it must not come yet-

the abandon trods of rust-laden

junkyard and scraps of dreams

hiding in the wreckage-waiting.

The watcher's revenge hidden

by moonlight and barbed wire,

waiting at last until familiar boots

reel around the corner, sounding

the toll of doom and out of the shadows

wander the threadbare tire tracks

to execute revenge, the footbeats louder

and at last out of the junkyard graveyeard-

who never should have been there-

a lonely pair of boots, one watcher's revenge.
