Short stories about just anything told by a young mom.

An amazing feeling of oneness. Being a mom of you. Than becoming a mom of your brother. You are mine. I'm yours. Both of you came to this world from one love and made it biger. You are making it biger by the day. I am sure I was your choice, my loved ones. I am still trying to figure out why. To become worthy of the blessing you gave me. I am sure I'm not the world's best mom. I'm still trying to find a way to be a good one. Even when the days are bad.

I'm sometimes consumed by the guilt. When I hate my messy hair. My pale face covered with traces of sleepless nights. When I raise my voice for no reason whatsoever. When I want my body back. The guilt burns. And that's a good thing. Not that I don't deserve to dress up and drink coffee in peace. Not that I don't deserve to have me. I do, an upgraded version of me. It's just a constant reminder for me to be there as long as you need me, because, perhaps too soon for my emotional self to handle, the time will come when you won't anymore.
