The earth does not ask for

A blood sacrifice,

Because

It serves no purpose.

Blood may be spilled but,

The earth prefers it come

From the tree of life

When the child is spring.

A god should not ask for blood,

A god should offer it.

The sky is the flower,

The earth is the root.

The moon stands guard

For the sun.

88 fingers

Very simple, short poem that says a lot more than a long sonnet.
