A recap of last night's Tampa Bay/Toronto Game One.

A 12th inning grand slam won the game for the Tampa Bay last night as the Rays defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 9-7.

The Jays went ahead 2-0 in the bottom of the first inning last night.

First, Vladmir Guerrero Jr. drove in Marcus Semien with a single.

Then, Teoscar Hernandez drove in Bo Bichette with a single.

The Jays went ahead 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning when Semien drove in Jonathan Davis with a triple.

At the top of the third inning, the Rays closed the gap at 3-2 when Brandon Lowe hit a two run homer.

In the bottom of the third, Guerrero Jr. hit a solo home run.

At the top of the fifth inning, Lowe hit a solo home run.

In the bottom of the fifth, Semien hit a solo home run.

At the top of the sixth inning, Tampa tied the game 5-5 with a two run homer by Ji-Man Choi.

Francisco Mejia hits the game winning grand slam.

There was no more scoring until the top of the 12th inning when Francisco Mejia hit a grand slam to put the Rays up 9-5.

Guerrero Jr. hit a two run homer in the bottom of the 12th, but that's all.

Mejia had four RBIs.

Ray's starting pitcher, Tyler Glasnow went 4.2 innings, allowing nine hits, five earned runs, a walk, and struck out two batters.

Guerrero Jr. went three for five at the plate and had four RBIs.

Jay's starting pitcher, Anthony Kay went four innings, allowing four hits, two earned runs, four walks, and struck out four batters.

Game Two is tonight.
