WHEN MOURNS THE HEART

By Al Garcia

When mourns the heart, so too the human spirit falls to depths too deep to contemplate, too dark to comprehend, too desolate to find the golden rays that used to illuminate the moments and the seasons shared.

Grief devours the rhythm and the harmony of life, of unfinished dreams, of unspoken words not said or heard, and of time that fades into the shadows and silhouettes of timeless memories made and shared that keeps alive the wounded heart and shattered soul.

Let tears flood and soothe the parched and devasted heart.  Let sorrow find its way through the corridors of the tangled and knotted mind that seeks to understand, without success, the reason why.

But know that when mourns the heart, a spark of hope and faith ignites the silenced heart.  The silence of time is not to be feared.  For it is the silence of time that embraces and enfolds the human soul, and takes away our breath with its splendor and its brilliance.

It is the silenced heart that soars above the twilight and beyond the stars that light the darkened sky.  Grieve and mourn the moment, but do not let tears scar the memories or dim the reflection in the heavens that will light your days and the seasons yet to come.

When mourns the heart, the human soul expands and magnifies the triumph of the human spirit, and amplifies the radiance of those who surround us and complete us.
