Nothing beats a hot drink and a fine record, I believe, so that is all I need in my short life.

One Month

Spring – Month 3

Well, here we are at the end of Spring, and I still get dreary, rainy, and yes even snowy days.  In what world do we get all of the above in 9 weeks, and scorching hot days whenever three things above are absent?

At least I hope I know what to expect in Summer.

The past month has been very inconsistent.  Not only in weather but also when it comes to life in my little one window room.  Ah well, solitary living certainly has its advantages, I think.  So long as I have my records to read and things to write, I can survive.  No one really needs more than that, but cooking has certainly been an experience.

I have always been one to know how to follow directions, and while I no longer {have} to do so, staying busy has made this month go by rather quickly.  I do enjoy the days I decide to relax though.  Nothing beats a hot drink and a fine record, I believe, so that is all I need in my short life.

I am growing rather bored, however.  Still working on my self-taught drawing class and have about a month left for that.  I hope to find another similar class shortly after I finish, but have also been exploring a few different options.  Certainly, writing will always be there and I will continue to do just that moving forward.  However, I was also curious about something called Culinary Arts and believe I would enjoy that class as well.  The only real comparison I have stumbled upon is something called sewing, which could be fun but I hold onto those pipe dreams for now, doing everything I need to make them a reality.

Only time will tell.  Outside of all that, I found some colored pencils and advanced coloring books, so I have been embracing a more visual side of myself.  This drawing class probably has a lot to do with this drive, but I find it quite Zen all the same.  So far, I have finished a coloring of a sugar glider and a hummingbird.  Awhile ago, I did a dolphin and a sea horse and am quite proud of those.  Now I have found and have started a very…surreal drawing of a skeleton and a rainbow in a paisley sky.

Probably the weirdest one yet.

I hope Summer is a bit more eventful, and would honestly be alright with more rainy days than boiling hot ones, but no one can predict the future.  I can certainly hope though, and I hope something new & interesting happens in the next month.
