Death is often misjudged, I feel. Many people think that death is to be feared for he is dangerous or scary. But in reality, I feel like he is calming and just …. misunderstood.

An Ethereal Demise

I waited at the shore,

The ocean like a sunset

The clouds more like mist,

On a summer evening, soon

I heard the sand shift behind,

As his dark robes brushed by

Behind his skulled veil, his auburn eyes,

He who was horrifying, stared into my eyes

But a tranquil clam washed across,

As I looked at death, my eyes in exhaust

But death wasn’t evil, or horrifying, no,

Yet beautiful and quiet, my relief at the seashore…

Criss Sole

I really liked this one. Very peaceful and tranquil.
Death is something we all must face, and i know many of us are scared, but i try to look at it in a different way.
Good poem.
