GARDEN OF DREAMS

By Al Garcia

This is my garden of dreams -- a private place where dreams blossom and bloom, and where memories fill the air.  It is a place somewhere in time, and somewhere over the rainbow, where angels spread their wings, and where the splendor and the beauty of the angelic sounds of nature, sooth the human soul and calm the beating heart.

It is a place deep inside of me, bound by my heart, my soul and mind.  A special place I go to find the answers that I seek, the solace that I crave, and the certainty and assurance that I need in order to believe and trust again.

It is in times of sorrow, hurt and pain, that I seek out my garden, and begin to dream the dreams of angels and of seasons gone by.  There is comfort, tranquility and serenity in my garden.  A place with colors brighter than the sun, fragrances more intoxicating than love in bloom, and memories more powerful than a raging summer storm.

It is my garden of refuge from the chaos and the madness that surrounds me and that threatens the tranquility, serenity and normalcy of my daily life.  It is my garden of shelter from the storms that gather, and from the winds that blow across the horizon and into fields of broken and discarded dreams.

My garden of dreams is my private place to mourn and to rejoice.  A place that only I can see and feel and hear.  And it is a place beyond the reach of any thoughts but mine, and a place where I gather my strength and my resolve to help me make it through each day, and through the calamities and crisis that may come my way.
