A recap of last night's Toronto/Montreal Game Three.

The Toronto Maple Leafs went up 2-1 in the first round series of the Stanley Cup Playoffs after edging the Montreal Canadiens last night 2-1.

There was no scoring in the first period.

Toronto went ahead 1-0 in the second period when William Nylander scored at 7:18.

Nick Suzuki tied the game at 13:56.

Morgan Rielly scored the winning goal at 16:35.

Shots on goal in the second period was 20-8 for Toronto.

There was no scoring in the third period, but shots on goal were 15-2 for Montreal.

Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe was pleased with his team's defence last night.

"Our guys defended real hard," said Keefe at the postgame press conference.

The series continues tonight in Montreal.
