Just a poem with a twisted end.

There's an Eagle and a Seagull on the old sea wall

The Seagull is perched and the Eagle stands tall

And all around them are the sounds of the sea

Attacking that wall with and a relentless fury.

The late day's Sun on the ocean's horizon

As Pelicans glide effortlessly, one after one.

So I went for a walk to the wall by the sea

And discovered questions that oozed out of me.

Is this poem about birds, is it really about them,

Or is it about sunlight and a day nearing end?

No, it's about a poet who has climbed on a wall

And is trying to decide which way to fall.
