Swept in from the west

a final mast to close at last

at the graves of rowers silent

and deep beneath the waves

where the wind does not sleep

and the enchantress breathes

in little breaths of hurricane

whispers, walking up and down

the forbidden shores and shadows

roar at the gates of yesterday.
