A recap of yesterday's Toronto/New York Yankee's double header.

Alek Monoah makes remarkable Major League debut.

For weeks, baseball analysts in Toronto have been praising Blue Jay's pitching prospect, Alek Monoah.

Monoah made his Major League debut against the New York Yankees yesterday and didn't disappoint.

Monoah had a remarkable debut in a 2-0 Blue Jay's win in Game One of a doubleheader at Yankee Stadium.

Monoah went six innings, allowing just two hits, no earned runs, two walks, and struck out seven batters.

As for the game itself, the Jays scored both their runs at the top of the third inning.

Both Marcus Semien and Bo Bichette hit two solo home runs.

Yankee's Miguel Andujar went two for three at the plate.

New York's Domingo German went 5.2 innings, allowing three hits, two earned runs, two walks, and struck out five batters.

Game Two

The Blue Jays were unable to complete the sweep as the Yankees won Game Two 5-3.

New York went ahead 1-0 in the bottom of the first inning when Gio Urshela drove in D.J. LeMahieu with a double.

Bichette hit a three run homer at the top of the third inning to put Toronto ahead 3-1.

Toronto wasn't ahead for too long, though.

Aaron Judge tied the the game in the bottom of the third with a two run homer.

The Yankees went ahead 4-3 in the bottom of the fourth inning when Gary Sanchez hit a solo home run.

Then, in the bottom of the fifth inning, Tyler Wade scored on a sacrifice fly by Judge.

Judge had three RBIs.

Yankee's starting pitcher, Jordan Montgomery went 4.2 innings, allowing five hits, three earned runs, two walks, and struck out a batter.

Bichette also had three RBIs last night.

Toronto's starting pitcher, Robbie Ray went 4.2 innings, allowing five hits, four earned runs, two walks, and struck out five batters.

The Jays are in Cleveland tonight to kick off a three game series against the Indians.

I'm a Mets fan. After the Mets swept the Rockies in their DH, had the second game of Jays/Yanks on the radio. Was rooting for a Jays sweep. Damn Yankees!
