Random Short Moment

While waiting for the lights to change, I looked across the road. I saw her sitting outside the café, head down, both hands supporting a book. So serious. I noticed the group next to her. They were angry. One was furious.
As the color changed, I ran and sat across her.

'Hi.' I whispered. She looked up and gave me a serious stare. I was starting to get scared.
'He fight for her.' She said with a plain face.
'What?' I slowly asked.
'He fight for them.' She replied. She closed her book and put them down. I thought, that was about the chapter she was reading. I was silent for a while.
Then it hit me, that was about the next table.
'He fight for their relationship.'  She continued. She was talking in a sad tone. 'He wanted to fix it. He waited. She tried. But she wanted to fly around, free from him. He let her go, he thought that'll make her happy and ... someone else happy. Then, it turns out the woman he cared for, he asked to stay, he waited and painfully let go, was not cared, chosen and fought back.'

There was something in the way she narrated the story that I started to feel the sadness and the pain.
'By the someone? The someone he thought will be happy?' I asked.
'Yeah. That someone.' She sadly replied.
