Random Short Moment

I think there's more to that beautiful smile. Do I have to comfort her?
''I agree. We all have to find comfort and distraction. We need to rest. I also work hard. I've been through a lot. Not just me but the same thing for my friends. We all needed this.''

She listens attentively. And I love to keep going.
''But for me, the thought of getting tired. Then, succeeding and surpassing it. The thought of being exhausted again. You get pissed. It makes you anxious. Sometimes, it brings you down. The roller coaster of whatever it brings. At the end of the day, what I love is the thought that it tells me and makes me feel that I am alive.''

I lock my stare somewhere in the pool. I know she's looking at me. She moves and looks down. I know she's smiling. That's the time I turn my sight to her. Then I smiled.
'That's deep.' She looks back at me. 'One of the good things I heard today.' She continued.
'Yeah. Like 7 feet deep?'
I joked. Please laugh.
And she did.
