For those in Pain who understand what it is like at your lowest point.

Pain

When all was lost, a stranger came

She gave me life, eternal flame

My lowest point, nowhere to go

A bitter taste, then all aglow

A stranger found in me, as the pain took hold

A touch of kindness, such pure gold

In the dark of night, a price to pay

Another breath, just one more day

When pain takes hold, you have no care

The waves will flood, there is just despair

It takes the strongest will, to rise once more

A devil with an offer, a crack in the door

What is life, is it real

Was it wrong, to make this deal

My strength of will, had long since passed

So many pills, I had amassed

My saviour came, before too late

An offer made, put on a plate

We all are just another’s meal

For me, I made a different deal

The price was high, but no more pain

At my darkest hour, I was not vain

I drank with her, from a golden bowl

She took my pain, I gave my soul
