A Ladder In My Garden
There’s a ladder in my garden,
it wasn’t there before;
it seems to go up in the sky,
I’ll climb it to be sure.
Defying laws of gravity
on nothing it does lean
and clouds that thickly cover it
make the way unseen.
I’m blinking back the moisture,
climbing up each rung,
curiosity won’t let me stop,
not once I have begun.
Higher than I’ve ever been,
delight receives a boon -
for climbing from that ladder
leaves me walking on the moon.

Lovely and descriptive, Hullabaloo. I feel like I'm walking up the ladder when I read it.
