Where are you off to with that hoodie of mine,
Its 3 am in the morning and you've already left me alone on the bed,
The shoe rack is missing one pair of our matching grey sneakers,
This room feels so cold and dark without your presence,
I try to unlock the windows only to look at you driving far away,
And the juice glass kept beside the table is coated empty just like my abandoned soul,
I can hear the water taps overflowing but it is not louder than the pain of tears running down my face,
This time I got no one beside me while I blow out the candles on the cake,
I thought we were one together,
You promised we would watch the sunsets together
You promised we could go around places and leave traces of love
You promised we will watch ourselves grow up together,
I will wait all my life for you standing in front of that door you last stepped out of,
Promises are meant to be broken was not everything I wanted to believe in,
Fear hovers me, my only heartbeat surrounding this empty dark room greeting loneliness inside to roam around.
