It was the day of May 15th, 2021. The well known “Astronomy Day”. We were organizing a science talk on an interesting topic “Colonize Mars or Protect Earth”, the topic was basically about whether we should focus on shifting some people to another planet like Mars or we should protect the billions of people on the Earth from global threats like global warming, climate change, ozone depletion, etc.

We’ve been preparing for it since past 10 days. Contacted many scientists and space enthusiasts, managed the process, designed the flyers, created the roadmap etc. And finally it was happening.

In the middle of the talk, a person popped in. He was a great astrophysicist. I had a request to him to join the talk. But, I wasn’t sure, even he told that he isn’t sure that if he will be able to join the talk. But, when he joined, I was extremely glad that we’re gonna have a great talk. But, what happened further, amazed me…….

He was ,like, the most experienced person in the field in our talk, he has been awarded one of the most prestigious awards in the field of science in our country. He had done lot of researches and I knew he was the person who has the highest knowledge about the topic then anyone else. I expected he will shut all of us up with his arguments. But, guess what……

He didn’t spoke a single word throughout the conference. All were talking, discussing, debating. But he was just listening. When we asked him to speak, he had just one line to say,

“I am here just to listen and learn something from you guys as a passive listener.”
