So, I have about 15 poems so far. Lately, I've been thinking about translating those into English, which is kind of a new experience for me. The main thing is that in Russian or Ukrainian (both are my native languages) poems do rhyme. If it has no rhyme - it's not a poem. I've been reading lots of poems in English lately, and it seems to me that those poems were more about expressing yourself than rhyming. Unfortunately, as far as English is my third language, the only thing I could do was a direct translation, so, while reading, keep in mind that in the original language (Russian) these poems do rhyme, and look slightly different. Still, I want to hear from you, guys, if it looks like a poem you would expect to read in English. Please, comment below, and thank you!

It's hard to breathe inside a crowd

There is so little sky, so little sun

My joy was carried away by the sorrow

That just like rain washes roofs at night

My laughter won't fly through the peace of the night

It's quieter than a whisper, there's no chance you'll hear it

The streets painted grey, the shine has lost in this fight

But what if I'm wrong, you're out there and miss me?

Through interference, a hundred calls a day

That make my heart race only faster and faster

Your sun warms my shadow, I pray for your rays

To sweeten my sorrow, to make it taste nicer

Although I've hidden inside the walls again

I'll shout through to you, I know that you'll hear me

In the end, there's nothing but love to remain...

That just like rain washes roofs...

Believe me...
