Is it too much to ask?

Put it down for a minute, feel my brain itch.
Did I just get a message? Watch myself twitch.
There's nothing else to do (but I know that's a lie).
It's me who will perish if my phone dies.

Feel a glow in the night strain my sad eyes.
I must go to sleep. But will I?
What if I miss out on this convo?
What if something happens and I don't know?

Chilling, watching memes, trynna have fun.
But it doesn't make me happy. Makes me feel dumb.
My day has gone away, everything's whack.
I can't live like this. I want my life back.
